Monday-Thursday with mandatory OT Friday and Saturday, 6:00am-4:30pm

General Manufacturing Assemblers & Machinist & Material Handlers Criteria/Qualifications
  • Experience preferred in warehouse production/manufacturing, although we will train
  • Strong attention to detail
  • Ability to work in a non-climate-controlled environment
  • Fast paced
  • Repetitive movements (Heavy lifting required for some positions)
  • Standing long periods of time
  • Regular use of heavy/light hand tools
  • Bending/pushing/pulling/lifting

Maintenance Technician- Nights

Night Shift Hours: 4:30PM-3:00 AM

Maintenance Technician Responsibilities:

  • Strong electrical background
  • Maintaining of plant equipment, tools, and the facility in order to keep plant processes in a reliable and safe condition through preventive maintenance, troubleshooting, and the availability of spare parts.  
  • Work both in tandem with other technicians, operators, and engineers, and autonomously to perform these tasks to the best of their ability.
  • Provide necessary support to keep all Production and Facility equipment functioning properly and safely. (troubleshooting / repair / preventive maintenance)
  • Perform PM’s on plant equipment, keeping maintenance lead informed as to whether PM schedule should/could be modified for current equipment.  Also help keep maintenance lead informed and aware as to whether important and necessary stocked replacement parts are at low or inadequate levels.
  • Construction, Installation, and Debugging of new equipment.
  • Be willing to attend various training opportunities in order to become better equipped to meet the growing needs and demands of the company.
  • All other duties as assigned which are in the interest of the Marwin Company.

Maintenance Technician Requirements:

  • High school degree (or equiv.) minimum.
  • 2+ years maintenance experience, preferably in a manufacturing environment.
  • Possess good mechanical, electrical, pneumatic troubleshooting skills.
  • Must possess good oral and written communication skills.
  • Can read and understand basic mechanical drawings and electrical schematics.
  • Basic welding, machining, and fabrication skills a plus.
  • Successful completion of any technical training programs/degrees

Electrical & Instrumentation Technician (EI Tech) - Day Shift

Location: The Marwin Company, West Columbia, SC 29172

Schedule: Monday-Thursday or Tuesday-Friday (Rotating Schedule), 6:00 AM - 4:30 PM
 Pay Range: $25.00 - $35.00/hour

Our EI Techs are essential to maintaining and improving the operation of our state-of-the-art equipment, ensuring safe, reliable, and efficient operations across our plant. Key Responsibilities

  • Diagnose and Test: Test faulty equipment using specialized test equipment or software to determine malfunctions, applying knowledge of electronic units and systems.
  • Log Maintenance: Maintain detailed equipment logs recording performance issues, repairs, calibrations, and tests for accurate maintenance history.
  • Setup and Inspection: Set up and test industrial equipment to ensure proper functionality and inspect components for accurate assembly or any potential defects, such as loose connections or frayed wires.
  • Installation and Demonstration: Install repaired equipment in various settings and operate equipment to demonstrate proper use and diagnose malfunctions.
  • Preventive Maintenance: Perform scheduled preventive maintenance, including checking, cleaning, and repairing equipment, to detect and prevent potential issues.
  • Calibration and Adjustments: Calibrate testing instruments and equipment to specified standards, and repair or adjust equipment components, replacing parts like gaskets or seals when necessary.
  • Documentation: Enter information into computers to copy programs, modify, or store schematics, using knowledge of relevant software.
  • Consultation: Work with customers, supervisors, or engineers to plan equipment layout or troubleshoot system operation and maintenance issues.

Additional Responsibilities

  • Perform preventive maintenance and repair on electrical and mechanical equipment, ensuring equipment safety and functionality.
  • Install, troubleshoot, and repair electrical and instrumentation devices, including motors, transformers, and control panels.
  • Follow safety standards, including lockout/tagout and confined space procedures.
  • Conduct routine inspections for mechanical integrity, such as insulation breakdowns and wear.
  • Work independently or within a team environment to troubleshoot and resolve equipment issues.
  • Support inventory management by maintaining spare parts levels.

Qualifications

Education & Certification

  • Degree/Certification in Electrical/Electronics Technology OR a valid Industrial Electrician License OR significant relevant work experience.

Experience

  • At least 3 years of experience in industrial maintenance.
  • Documented experience with PLC troubleshooting, AC/DC drives, relay logic, and pump/motor controls.
  • Proficiency in using a multimeter and test equipment.

Technical Skills

  • Ability to read and interpret schematics, blueprints, and logic diagrams.
  • Basic knowledge of computer skills, specifically Windows-based applications.
  • Familiarity with pneumatic, hydraulic, and chemical systems.

Physical Requirements

  • Ability to lift up to 50 lbs. and perform physically demanding tasks such as bending, crouching, and climbing stairs.
  • Ability to work safely in PPE, including respirators, as needed
